Been talking to Paul today, not seen you in a few years now.

Saw your mic question, here are a few mics to try.

Neumann U67 (Really nice tube mic, still in production but I have heard the old ones sound better).

AEA R44C or RCA 44bx (very old ribbon mics, used on all the old jazz recordings, a little rare but you could find one for rental) Quincy Jones&#039;s sound engineer uses these on trumpet still, maybe worth a try.
